Delete your account or saved field data

Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a mapping service with accounts, we don't run ads, and we never sell your personal data.

Tracks and waypoints are saved on your device and sync automatically when online at the times described below. Attached waypoint photos stay on your device and are not uploaded by field sync.

This policy covers dirtclaude.ai, ai.minedata.us, and the dirtClaude Android app (ai.dirtclaude.app). They are one service — the app is the same map in a native shell, and the sites share the same accounts, subscriptions and data — so everything below applies to all three unless a row says otherwise. Both sites are operated by Mine Data Intelligence, LLC.

1. What we collect

DataWhenWhy
Email addressRequired for account creation and sign-in; also used for account recovery, checkout, and billing status lookups Manage your account and link your subscription to Pro access
PasswordWhen you set one Sign-in. Stored only as a salted PBKDF2 hash, never as the password itself; a reset link is emailed to you and only a hash of its token is kept
Google account email and idOnly if you sign in with Google Link your Google sign-in to your dirtClaude account
Email address (updates list)Footer signup or checkout (consent shown at both) Product updates & promos — every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your account or Pro access
Payment detailsCheckout Handled entirely by Stripe on the web, and by Google Play Billing inside the Android app — card numbers never touch our servers on either
Purchase recordsWhen you buy Weekender Pro, Pro Monthly or Pro Yearly Which plan, when it started and ends, whether the one-time $1.99 upgrade credit has been used, and the Stripe or Google Play reference for the payment — used to grant and verify Pro access and to apply the credit once
Auggie question countEach question you ask Auggie A per-account daily count and a monthly cost total, to enforce your plan's daily limit and fair-use budget
Random device idGenerated in your browser Syncs your tracks/waypoints across sessions without an account
GPS tracks and waypointsWhen you record a track or create a waypoint. Online sync runs when a recording stops, when a previous recording is saved before a new one starts, when the map loads existing waypoints, and when waypoints are created or edited Save and retrieve your field data, including local copies for offline use
Waypoint photosWhen you attach a photo Stored on your device for the waypoint and optional local offline-pack export; field sync does not upload photos
My Layers (files you import, shapes you draw)When you import a KML, KMZ, GPX, GeoJSON or shapefile, or draw a point, line or area Kept only on your device (browser storage) and never uploaded to us. A KML that links an image on another website makes your device fetch that image from that website. Exports go only where you save or share them
Clicked points & prediction scoresMap clicks / 👍👎 feedback Model calibration (the "learning loop") — coordinates, not identity
Auggie chat messagesWhen you chat Sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the answer; not used to train models
Page-view countsVisiting Anonymous counters (path + day) — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no IP stored by us
Website traffic statistics (dirtclaude.ai only — not the Android app)Visiting the website Measured with Ahrefs Web Analytics: page views, referring site, country, and browser/device type, counted in aggregate without cookies. Used to see which pages people visit and how they find us.

2. What we don't do

3. Android app permissions

The app asks for only what a field mapping tool needs, and each is requested at the moment you use the feature — never at install:

PermissionUsed for
Location (precise and approximate) Showing where you are on the map, recording a GPS track, and dropping waypoints at your position. Collected only while the map or a recording is open. Tracks and waypoints are saved locally and sync automatically when online at the times described above. We do not collect location in the background, and the app has no background-location permission.
Google Play billing Buying Weekender Pro, Pro Monthly or Pro Yearly inside the app. Google Play handles the payment.
Internet / network state Loading map tiles and data layers, and detecting when you're offline so cached areas are used instead.

The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, or storage permissions. Waypoint photos are attached through the system picker, which hands the app one chosen image without granting access to your photo library.

4. Where data lives

Local first: tracks, waypoints, and photos live in your browser's storage (localStorage/IndexedDB) and work fully offline. Tracks and waypoints also sync automatically when online at the times described above; their cloud copies, account records, and subscription records are stored on Cloudflare's edge platform (D1 database) in the United States. Attached waypoint photos remain on your device and are not included in field sync. Map tiles and telemetry from Mapbox are governed by Mapbox's privacy policy.

5. Service providers

Stripe (payments on the web), Google Play Billing (purchases inside the Android app), Google (sign in with Google, where offered), Cloudflare (hosting, database, AI inference), Anthropic (Auggie's language model), Mapbox (base maps), Fly.io (generating PDF reports), Resend (sign-in and report emails), Ahrefs (cookieless website traffic statistics, website only). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

6. Retention & deletion

Billing records persist while your subscription is active and as required for tax/legal purposes. Field-sync data persists until you delete it in-app.

Delete saved field data without deleting your account. Open the map, open GPS Tracker, and select Clear (the control labelled “Clear all GPS data”). This clears this device's local GPS data and attached waypoint photos, and requests deletion of this device's synced tracks and waypoints. Your account and subscription remain. An internet connection is required to finish the cloud deletion: check for “Cleared here and in the cloud.” If the app says the cloud copy needs a connection, the remote deletion has not been confirmed; contact the support address below if you need help completing it. Data associated with another device is not removed by this device's Clear control.

Deleting your account and data. Email support@dirtclaude.ai from the address you signed up with, or write to the postal address below, and say you want your account deleted. No app or subscription is required to ask. We remove your entitlement record, saved tracks and waypoints, chat history, and updates-list entry, and confirm within 30 days. Records we must keep for tax and accounting law — the fact and amount of a payment — are retained for the statutory period and nothing more. You can also clear everything held on your own device at any time from the app, without contacting us.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

Material changes get posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes is acceptance.
