Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of dirtclaude.ai, ai.minedata.us, the dirtClaude map application, the dirtClaude Android app (ai.dirtclaude.app), Auggie chat, the prediction API, and related mobile apps (together, the "Service"). Both sites are operated by Mine Data Intelligence, LLC and share one set of accounts and subscriptions. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

SCREENING ONLY. Everything the Service produces — claim status, "open ground" flags, mineral prospectivity scores, water and geology layers, AI answers — is a research screening aid, not legal claim clearance, a title opinion, mineral-rights certification, survey data, or investment advice. Claim boundaries render at PLSS-aliquot accuracy, not GPS-staked corners. Always verify with BLM MLRS and the county recorder before any field activity, filing, or purchase.

1. The Service

dirtClaude aggregates public geoscience data (USGS, BLM, NRCS, NASA, state geological surveys, state water and oil-and-gas agencies, and others), applies AI/statistical models, and presents the results on an interactive map. Model output is probabilistic and can be wrong. Data sources update on their own schedules and may lag reality.

2. Accounts, Plans & Billing

Effective October 4, 2026 for Weekender Pro, the upgrade credit and Auggie's daily limits.

Free features are provided as-is. Pro features are subscription-gated: $9.99/month or $99/year (prices may change with notice).
Weekender Pro is a one-time $1.99 purchase that unlocks the Pro features for 72 hours from when the payment is confirmed. It does not renew and is not a subscription. Each further purchase adds 72 hours to the time remaining. It does not include Auggie. A Weekender Pro purchase that is refunded or charged back ends early.
Upgrade credit: while a Weekender Pro pass is active, and for 7 days after it ends, your first month of Pro Monthly or first year of Pro Yearly costs $1.99 less. The credit is one-time — once per account, ever. On the web it applies automatically at checkout; in the Android app it applies where Google Play offers it.
Auggie daily limits: Pro Monthly includes 3 Auggie questions per day and Pro Yearly 5, resetting daily at 00:00 UTC, plus a monthly fair-use budget per account. Weekender Pro and the free plan include none.
Payments are processed by Stripe on the web and by Google Play in the Android app; we never see or store your card number.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime from the billing portal — access continues to the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, partial periods aren't refunded.
One-off products (e.g. due-diligence report PDFs) are delivered digitally and are non-refundable once generated.

3. Field Safety & Land Access — your responsibility

Abandoned mines are deadly: shafts, bad air, unstable workings. Stay out, stay alive.
Desert water features flash-flood; flow flags in the app are estimates, not gauges.
You are solely responsible for land-access rights: private property, active claims, State Trust and other state-land permits, tribal-land permission (e.g. Havasupai or White Mountain Apache in Arizona, Pyramid Lake Paiute in Nevada, Agua Caliente in California), and USFS/BLM rules. A dot on our map is never permission to enter or collect.
Meteorite and mineral collecting is regulated differently by land status — know the rules for the ground you're on.

4. Acceptable Use

Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its derived layers; don't abuse the API or attempt to bypass Pro gates; don't use the Service to violate any law or land-use rule. We may throttle or terminate accounts that do.

5. Your Content

GPS tracks, waypoints, photos, and feedback you submit stay yours. You grant us a license to store and process them to run the Service (sync, backups, model calibration). Prediction feedback (👍/👎 grades) may be used in de-identified aggregate to improve the models.

6. Intellectual Property & Attribution

The Service's code, design, branding (including Auggie ✺), and derived data layers are ours. Underlying public data belongs to its providers: USGS (MRDS, 3DEP, GNIS, NHD, groundwater levels via the Water Data API), AZGS/University of Arizona, BLM (MLRS, SMA), ADWR (GWSI well records), California DWR (periodic groundwater level measurements, via CNRA Open Data), Nevada Division of Water Resources (NDWR WellNet), NRCS (SSURGO soil survey, via Soil Data Access), Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology (NBMG)/University of Nevada, Reno, Nevada Division of Minerals (NDOM), California Geological Survey (CGS), California Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM), Utah Geological Survey (UGS) and Utah Department of Natural Resources (DOGM, Water Rights, Water Resources), Colorado Geological Survey/Colorado School of Mines, Colorado Division of Water Resources, Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC), New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources/New Mexico Tech, New Mexico Office of the State Engineer, New Mexico Oil Conservation Division, New Mexico Water Data Initiative (NMWDI), Washington Geological Survey (Washington DNR), Washington Department of Ecology, Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI), Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD), Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR), the National Geothermal Data System (NGDS), U.S. Census Bureau (TIGER boundaries), Bureau of Indian Affairs (Land Area Representation), USDA Forest Service, U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL NATCARB), U.S. EPA (FLIGHT greenhouse-gas data), NASA/Meteoritical Society and the Meteoritical Bulletin Database (Lunar and Planetary Institute / USRA), Macrostrat, OpenStreetMap contributors, Mapbox, Wikimedia Commons. Their terms apply to their data.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINE DATA INTELLIGENCE, LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSSES FROM FIELD ACTIVITY, CLAIM FILINGS, OR RELIANCE ON SCREENING OUTPUT — AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

8. Changes & Termination

We may update the Service and these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes is acceptance. We may suspend the Service for maintenance or discontinue features.
